Terms of Service
How the NorthvaleConnect service works and what to agree before an engagement.
Updated October 2, 2026
The service and independent professionals
NorthvaleConnect provides project acquisition, coordination, delivery, and operational support to independent technical professionals. “Partner” describes this collaboration; browsing, applying, or exchanging messages does not itself create employment, a legal partnership, an agency relationship, or a project contract.
No guaranteed opportunities or income
NorthvaleConnect does not guarantee employment, clients, projects, or income. Potential opportunities depend on client demand, professional fit, and agreement on the details. Professionals can accept or decline proposed opportunities.
Project-specific agreements
Before an engagement begins, NorthvaleConnect and the professional document and agree scope, deliverables, responsibilities, timelines, communication, acceptance criteria, compensation, and material requirements. Required workspaces, account permissions, or remote access must be explained in advance, including purpose, scope, duration, and removal of access. Project-specific agreements govern the work they describe.
Compensation, revenue share, and payment
NorthvaleConnect may receive a share of project revenue for its contribution. Before acceptance, the project agreement identifies each party’s share, its calculation, any fees or deductions, the work and payments covered, who invoices and receives client funds, payment timing, and how non-payment or disputes are handled. There is no standard published split or payment schedule.
Acceptable use and third-party services
Provide accurate professional information, respect confidentiality and intellectual property, and do not misuse the website or submit malicious material. Remain responsible for your identity and personal accounts. Use approved collaboration features and comply with applicable service rules. Consent to access does not override those rules. NorthvaleConnect is independent of third-party marketplaces and does not claim their endorsement.
Intellectual property and confidentiality
Website materials are provided for information and do not grant rights to third-party content. Ownership, licensing, use of pre-existing work, confidentiality, and any transfer of project deliverables should be agreed in writing for each engagement. Submitting an application does not transfer ownership of your portfolio or prior work.
Ending an engagement
You may decline future opportunities. For active work, the project agreement should explain notice, handover, unfinished deliverables, outstanding compensation, and continuing confidentiality obligations. Contact us to discuss ending the relationship or to request no further outreach.
Website limitations and responsibility
Website information describes our general approach and may change. It does not replace a signed engagement agreement. Website availability and error-free operation are not guaranteed. Responsibility for project losses, liability limits, and dispute handling are addressed in the relevant agreement, subject to applicable law.
Joining or service fees
A standard joining-fee policy has not been published. Contact us to confirm whether there is a cost to join before applying. Any proposed fees, project costs, or revenue share must be explained in writing before you agree. This website does not collect payments.
